2024 has been a monumental year for the crypto industry, and Dynamic is thrilled to play an active role in onboarding new users. From hackathons and feature launches to teaming up with amazing new partners, we stayed focused on creating a simpler environment for developers and end-users alike. We’re heading into 2025 with even more excitement and big plans for what’s next!

When we think about the past year, the highlights aren’t just the big launches or milestones; it’s the progress we’ve made together towards a more user-friendly and abstracted industry. Whether through new social logins that simplified onboarding, personalized tools like Global Identities, every step was about laying the groundwork for a crypto-enabled future. We’re proud of the progress made in 2024 and can’t wait to keep building alongside our amazing community in 2025.

Our Big Wins and Milestones

Each step we took this year brought us closer to our goal. A goal of an abstracted future where crypto rails are embedded into every app, site and agent. Here’s a snapshot of some of our key moments and milestones from 2024:

  • Product: We packed a lot into SDK V2 and V3, which we highlight in detail in the next section (we have V4 coming out soon - stay tuned!)
  • Hackathons: Throughout 2024, we sponsored six major hackathons, supporting nearly 400 teams as they built projects with Dynamic. At each event, Dynamic powered a significant share of the top finalists, including 7 out of 10 in Singapore and 3 out of 10 in both Bangkok and Brussels.
  • Socials: We more than doubled our following on X and surpassed 20K followers.
    • Our Co-founder, Itai, scaled his personal following on Farcaster to 140K+ followers.
    • Our community Slack channel is now home to over 1,600 amazing builders
  • Scale: Millions of users per month log in to Dynamic-powered apps.
  • Content: We published 30 blogs covering trends and insights from the industry, as well as a wide range of case studies about our wonderful customers.
  • Ecosystem Growth: We expanded our role within some incredible ecosystems, and published spotlight pages around them.
  • Customers: Hundreds of projects used Dynamic in 2024. Check out a few from across the industry below!

Biggest Feature Releases & Product Updates

This year has been incredible, and none of it would have been possible without our amazing customers and partners. We’re excited to share a look back at some of the features and improvements we introduced this year to help you scale and innovate. The features that we rolled out in 2024 tie back to three main initiatives:

1. Enable developers to build and grow their ecosystems

Our Global Wallet Kit provides a way for developers to build ecosystems. Ecosystems go beyond a single site or app, helping builders to unify experiences, enhance interoperability, and scale their brand. By keeping the brand front and center at every click, developers can create branded gateways that deliver their end-users familiar experiences.

Within the kit, developers can find a set of powerful tools. With Global Connectivity, embedded wallets can operate independently of the app they were created in. Global Identities allow end-users to add a username during onboarding and have a unified identity to take on their crypto journey. Additionally, the Global Wallet Kit contains robust security measures, flexible on/off ramps, and transaction simulation for added protection and peace of mind.

2. Allow developers to meet their users wherever they are

Our goal is simple: help developers create magical experiences that match what end-users are already familiar with. Wallets can be intimidating for new users, so we’ve made them easier to access in ways users already know and trust. After beginning with SMS login, we’ve added an extensive list of popular social login methods including Spotify, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Farcaster, Google, and much more.

Similarly, our release of Telegram Auto-Wallets tapped into the growing popularity of Telegram within the crypto community. This feature allows users to create wallets instantly within Telegram, without needing to leave the app or navigate unfamiliar platforms. By meeting users where they already are, developers can provide a seamless and frictionless onboarding experience that feels natural to the user.

3. Empower builders to support more chains

Developers and users are increasingly exploring the crypto world outside of Ethereum. This trend has accelerated in the last year, with chains such as Bitcoin and Solana seeing significant traction and viral projects. To meet this demand, we wanted to ensure that builders on these chains (and any chain) have the same resources.

With the launch of Solana Embedded Wallets, developers have the ability to leverage Solana’s vibrant community while allowing their users to onboard or log in with familiar social methods. Just like our EVM embedded wallets, these are fully non-custodial and can be set up in less than a minute. For Bitcoin developers, the introduction of our BitcoinKit makes it much easier to integrate Bitcoin into your app. Within one simple interface, you can easily add Bitcoin wallets and connectors that have different requirements.

Additionally, we added the capability for developers to add custom EVM and custom Cosmos chains. With a few clicks, you can now add any EVM or Cosmos network! We’re proud to say that Dynamic supports more chains and wallets than any other wallet and authentication provider.

Security and Customization Updates

In addition to shipping new features, we’ve expanded our security offerings and provided developers with even more ways to customize their experiences. Here are a few of the latest additions:

  • Custom Information Capture: Developers can customize onboarding flows to collect any information they need from users, such as location or username.
  • Roles & Permissions: Teams can adjust access using admin, developer, and member roles, and send collaboration invites via email or wallet.
  • Session Keys: When enabled, transactions for logged-in users are processed without any additional verification steps, removing friction and creating a simpler experience for new users.
  • Google Authenticator MFA: Developers can allow their users to add additional layers of security to their wallet, including Google Authenticator and Authy.
  • BYO JWT: Enterprise customers who have built their own auth systems or use others' can take advantage of Dynamic to enable web3-based functionality and interactions.

Tooling Updates

With the introduction of new SDKs and libraries, Dynamic gives developers the tools to build more flexible solutions. Builders also have access to new tooling offerings, including the ability to fully white-label Dynamic and keep their brand front and center. Lastly, we’ve upgraded our developer dashboard to provide a more efficient way for developers to manage users and analytics.

These break down into the four key areas:

  • Headless SDK: Custom-tailor onboarding and login flows to perfectly match your brand and your users' needs.
  • React Native Support: Build mobile apps with the tools that are best for your users, available now on EVM and Solana.
  • Wagmi V2 & Viem V2: Ensure compatibility with the established standards that are crucial for development within our space.
  • Upgraded Developer Dashboard: Benefit from an improved developer experience, packed with analytics, guides, and advanced user management tools.

The Dynamic Family Keeps Growing

We’re grateful to be part of such a vibrant and creative community of builders. Here’s a snapshot of some of the amazing teams we’ve been working with this year:

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we close out 2024, we want to thank everyone who has been part of this journey: our partners, the incredible builders in our community, and their end-users. This year was not just about achieving milestones but about laying the groundwork for a more intuitive crypto future.

With 2025 on the horizon, we’re doubling down on wallet infrastructure innovation and delivering tools that simplify development for builders. Big plans are in motion, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

Thanks for building with us—we’re just getting started!
