Introducing the Dynamic Global Wallet Kit: A powerful toolset for developers to build ecosystems around their apps or chains!
Table of contents
It was a good day. I had spent hours creating digital artwork with my son, transforming his sketches and ideas into vibrant NFTs. We were able to recreate one of his favorite cartoon characters and mint it onchain. Not only was the art now forever preserved on the blockchain, but it became truly his own, held in his embedded wallet. But then we ran into an issue.
We wanted to showcase the new creation in a digital art studio that my friend recommended, Spatial. When we went to log in, we were prompted to create a new wallet, and my son’s wallet holding my artwork could not be found. Why couldn’t we use the same wallet we had just used to mint an NFT to connect to Spatial?
This was my personal experience with one of the biggest hurdles that our industry faces today: interoperability. While we embedded wallet providers have made using wallets much less complex, we've inadvertently introduced the challenge of siloed wallets. That’s where the Dynamic Global Wallet Kit comes in, offering developers a comprehensive solution for building ecosystems around their apps or chains.
Over the past few months, we’ve worked to create a toolset that helps founders scale their brands, unify experiences across apps, and address the limitations of interoperability described above.
Our Global Wallet Kit introduces solutions to address three core challenges:
With one kit, your app can become an ecosystem. Here’s what makes up the kit:
Global wallets are powerful because they work across the entire ecosystem, offering two distinct ways to connect across apps:
For developers using RainbowKit or ConnectKit, integrating your wallet is straightforward—you can simply pull in the Dynamic connector and configure it. For partners or developers who don’t currently support wallets but want to enable “linking” to yours, a lightweight SDK allows them to easily add your branded wallet to their app.
Here's an example of the RainbowKit login flow showcasing two of our launch partners, Sophon and The Arena:
This SDK provides a simple pop-up-style integration, giving your ecosystem partners an efficient way to include your global wallet in their platforms. For developers using WalletConnect, you can position your app as a WalletConnect-compatible wallet, ensuring it appears in their library of supported wallets.
Global wallets should empower your brand—not ours—to take center stage. Rather than viewing wallets as standalone tools, users experience them as branded gateways that enhance their sense of security, consistency, and belonging within your ecosystem. This approach allows your ecosystem to grow and thrive within a connected world while providing a familiar experience for users.
Taking center stage also means providing a solid foundation for others to build upon. Through this open ecosystem, you can invite other developers to craft apps that expand and enrich your own. Whether you're enhancing your core functionality within a protocol or expanding APIs for payments, enabling a unified wallet experience ensures a smoother and more integrated experience for your users.
Our vision is straightforward: wallets should not be siloed and ecosystems should be easy to create in one click. Depending on your use case, the global nature of wallets can be front and center, or deferred to later in your customer’s lifecycle. Whatever the right solution for you may be, we’re here to support!
