Eclipse Drives 6.2B Transactions from 680K Wallets with the Help of Dynamic

By integrating Dynamic, Eclipse accelerated its scaling efforts and removed wallet integration challenges, enabling developers to focus on building while providing users with a seamless experience for asset bridging and app interaction.

Eclipse and Their Unique Role in Layer 2 Scaling

Eclipse has made waves in the Layer 2 (L2) ecosystem by bringing the power of the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) to Ethereum. This unique offering allows Eclipse to deliver a staggering 3,000 transactions per second (TPS), a level of throughput that's 10x higher than Ethereum and all of its EVM L2s combined. The mix of Solana’s speed and Ethereum’s security has allowed Eclipse to gain a lot of traction.

As of their most recent newsletter, Eclipse has seen:

  • $200M in TVL bridged over to their network
  • Over 6.2B transactions from 680K unique wallets
  • 190,000 users onboarded to their popular app, TurboTap
  • 200,000 members join their Discord server over the past year

To prepare for this demand, Eclipse needed the right tools. They needed to ensure that developers could focus on building applications instead of solving wallet integration problems. That’s where Dynamic came in. Through this integration, Eclipse has been able to rapidly expand its reach and capabilities, ensuring that developers and end-users can take full advantage of its network.

Roadblocks to Scaling: The Challenges Eclipse Faced

Eclipse has a clear vision: to create the fastest, developer-friendly blockchain ecosystem. But making that vision a reality came with some challenges:

  1. They needed an out-of-the-box solution: Building custom infrastructure for onboarding and wallets from scratch would have taken a lot of time and resources. Instead, they wanted a plug-and-play system that just worked.
  2. Integration complexity was a concern: While staying focused on their core mission, they needed a solution that could be deployed quickly, along with reliable support for debugging and consulting.
  3. They wanted to focus on user experience: A fast blockchain isn't useful if users struggle to interact with it. Eclipse needed a wallet solution that made onboarding quick and frictionless.

How Dynamic Helped Eclipse Solve These Challenges

Eclipse called on Dynamic to provide a robust wallet infrastructure. Beyond enhancing onboarding, wallet management, and user experience, Eclipse needed a solution proven to handle high traffic volumes. Just as importantly, they wanted a dedicated team to collaborate with as they continued to scale.

Specifically, Dynamic now powers Eclipse’s bridging interface, where users can securely connect and link their Ethereum and Eclipse wallets. By supporting 500+ wallets, Dynamic makes it easy for any user to get started on Eclipse’s network. Additionally, Dynamic powers native applications on Eclipse such as TurboTap. This integration ensures that hundreds of thousands of TurboTap users can get started and engage with the app in seconds, regardless of which wallet they use.

Why Eclipse Put Their Trust in Dynamic

Dynamic is not the only wallet solution out there, but Eclipse mentioned it was an easy choice. In conversations with their team, they highlighted several key reasons why Dynamic stood out:

  • No integration nightmares: Dynamic eliminated the need for Eclipse to build and debug wallet infrastructure from scratch.
  • Trustworthy: They needed something reliable, and valued Dynamic’s track record of being responsive.
  • A real partnership: Dynamic goes beyond offering a service, acting as a collaborative partner that embraces innovation and new product features.
  • Designed for scale: Eclipse aims to scale its network by 3x and become a Stage 1 rollup, so they need infrastructure that can keep up. Dynamic is built to grow alongside them.

For Eclipse, choosing the right wallet solution was about finding a partner that could support their ambitious growth. As Sydney Huang, Chief Product Officer at Eclipse, put it:

"We chose Dynamic because we needed an out of the box solution that would support a new SVM network. Dynamic presented itself as one such option that enabled us to integrate a wallet solution easily into multiple different products, and a partner that we could trust to scale to meet the needs of a high-performance network."

Just the Beginning: Where Eclipse and Dynamic Go from Here

Eclipse has some ambitious plans for the next few years, including scaling the network by 3x, and becoming a stage 1 rollup. Additionally, they are looking to significantly expand their ecosystem, with a specific focus on DeFi and gaming. Lastly, they are beginning to explore new features to benefit their users, such as embedded wallets and global wallets.

The collaboration between Eclipse and Dynamic is just getting started, but the early results speak for themselves. As Eclipse continues to grow, Dynamic will be there to ensure that they are able to scale and innovate appropriately. With a shared vision of speed and frictionless wallets, Dynamic and Eclipse are excited for what’s in store.
